Shinning Celebrate the Success of ERP/ASP Project

On August 5, 2007, in order to celebrate the successful going-live of the ERP/ASP project and to honor the outstanding staff in the project, Shenzhen Shinning Electronics Co., Ltd. holds a convergence in the Shenzhen Hall.
 
The General Manager Zhijian Jiang, Project Manger Jiayan Yin, Technical Director of Equilibrium Shibiao Huang, guests from other partner companies and thousands of staff of Shinning has joined the celebration.
 
The celebration is started with the address of the general manager. Mr. Jiang reviewed Shinning’s development in these years and owed the success to the efforts of all the staff and partners. Mr. Jiang also declared that Shinning would insist on the advanced management ideology to achieve more successes.
          
As the project management, Miss Yin concluded the project and said: this successful going-live is only a start; we should put more efforts to the application of the system. This is not only about the change in people’s mind, but also an endless developing process. Therefore, all the people in Shinning, from the top leaders to workers, should come to a common understanding and take good advantage of ERP, so to improve the management, raise competitiveness and benefit, and bring more energy and dynamic to Shinning.
 
When Miss Yin retrospects their ERP experience, she said: actually early in the founding period, Shinning introduced an ERP system from a famous domestic manufacturer. While with the rapid development of the business, the system couldn’t meet all the demand any longer, especially in the finance management and warehouse management. In the warehouse management, the system can’t track the status of the material in each process, which causes more dead material and slow turnover. With the experience, Shinning came to know clearly what kind of ERP system they need. After abundant study, Shinning finally chose Equilibrium to help them apply Microsoft Dynamics AX system with a brand-new ASP model.
 
Led directly by the GM, the ERP project was powered by an expert team which includes the staff from Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Development, Engineer and Finance Departments. Conformed with the project plan, with the hard work of all the teammates and other staffs, after user training, business study, SOP confirmation, development adjustment, system setup, data input, the system successfully went live in 4 months. The new system replaced the old system seamlessly, ensuring the interrupted running of the business.
 
The new system takes the business under tighter control, especially in the Supply Chain Management and Financial Management. The Project Manager, Miss Yin shared the benefit in the meeting:
1.        Sales Management: track order status, shorten process to confirm order lead time; swiftly reflect the influence to planning, production and purchasing caused by the change of order deliver time.
2.        Purchasing Management: capable of providing price suggestion through Trade Agreement and Trade History; define feasible purchasing lead time to reduce in-stock time of materials and emergence of material shortage, so to optimize material velocity.
3.        Inventory Management: trace materials in each process; simplify handwork of in & out warehouse recording.
4.        Planning & Production: make reasonable production & material plan to improve feasibility of the plan and realize rational allocation of resources.
5.        Engineer & Technology: integrated management of drawings; shared resources; freed from maintaining original OA & ERP.
6.        Real-time Costing: master the difference between real cost and standard cost in time; analyze on cost factors to effectively control the cost, so to decrease cost.
7.        Provide solution to the bottleneck of material management to lower material scrap cost.
 
Informationization is never a project covering several consultants or a few users, but a project requiring active attendance and cooperation of all the staff. In the ERP/ASP application period, a lot of cooperative employees came out in the light. They are Yanping Wang, Honglin Yu, Xufeng Cao, Jihang Feng, Qianfang Wang, Cuihong Xia and Hailin Mao. According to the plan, there are awarded respectively two honor:” Most Cooperative Employee” &”Most Executive Employee”. In the fierce applaud, the GM of the Shinning, Mr. Jiang and the Technology Director of Equilibrium, Mr. Huang presented the award to the above employees and took pictures.
